As ISAMATA President Charges Traders To Comply With Clean-Up Exercises

The Imo state Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Hon. Simeon Ebegbulam has urged Imolites especially the traders to ignore the two weeks Sit-at-Home order by Simon Ikpa, and go about their normal businesses without fear, assuring them of adequate security arrangement by the state government.

Hon. Ebegbulam expressed displeasure at the incessant Sit-at-Home orders that according to him has crippled the Economy of the Southeast. He described it as an unfortunate occurance masterminded by the enemies of the people.

According to the Commissioner, any business owner who complies with the Sit-at-Home order will have his shop or business outlet shut down, adding that banks, markets and shops are mandated to open their businesses because there is no Sit-at-Home in Imo State.

He described the governor of Imo State, distinguished senator Hope Uzodinma as a responsible and responsive leader who has the overwhelming zeal and capacity to boost the economy of the state and can do all within his power to ensure Imolites are well taken care of, hence has strategized means of providing relief materials to all the communities in the 27 LGAs of Imo State to cushion the effects of the fuel subsidy removal.

In another development, Hon. Emmanuel Ezeanochie JP, the president of Imo State Amalgamated Market and Traders Association (ISAMATA) who is also the Special Adviser to the governor on Market, charged Market Chairmen and all Imo traders during the ISAMATA State Enlarge Executive Committee Meeting on Wednesday, to ensure full compliance to the State Government Sanitation

and Clean-Up Exercises on monthly basis, inferring that Cleanliness is what is godliness.

Hon. Ezeanochie applauded the governor of the state for his numerous infrastructural developments as he revealed that ISAMATA is set to launch more developmental projects in different markets courtesy of the governor. He also stated that the governor has approved the rehabilitation and reconstruction of Egbeada market to accommodate many traders.

He passionately expressed his profound gratitude to the governor for his developmental strides in the state and assured him of Imo traders’ unalloyed support and commitment to his re-election bid, adding that governor Uzodinma remains the only candidate that all the traders will support in the forthcoming Gubernatorial election.
