Rt Hon Amaechi Nwoha, a former Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, who currently represents the South East in the National Assembly Commission, has said that the three signature road projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodinma, in quick succession are enough to guarantee an incumbent Governor re-election anywhere in the world.

Nw withoha stated this while addressing journalists shortly after a meeting of Orlu zonal stakeholders and grand reception for the Governor at Nkwerre over the weekend

He said, “There is clear evidence of quality, people oriented work in Imo, despite the security situation. There are clear evidences of good jobs being done in Imo. The three signature projects the governor has completed is sufficient by any standard to guarantee any person in that position a second tenure anywhere in the world.

“For the fact he completed those three roads, the length and importance of the roads, and how much Imo people had suffered on those roads. Irrespective of the numerous things he has done, but to me these three key road projects: Owerri -Orlu Road, Owerri -Okigwe Road and Owerri -Umuahia Road stand out. With them, there shouldn’t be any debate whether he qualifies to go for second term or not”.

The former Speaker said, the reception was organized to show that the zone where the Governor comes from is solidly behind his second term ambition.

“He described himself as a firm believer in the charter of equity which governor Hope Uzodimma is championing, given instance with how he strongly supported that power should rotate among the three zones of the state, after governor Achike Udenwa’s eight years tenure, when he was a member of Imo State House of Assembly.

“I am a fan of equity, I believe in the charter of equity”.

He posited that APC will win any election in the state, while also describing Imo as the number one APC state in the South East.

“Our party is in a better position than any of the other parties. When you put every indices of measurement together, you find out that APC is shoulder above other political parties in the state. The governor has done well. He needs another four years to consolidate on his achievements”.
