Honourable Clinton Amadi, who contested the March 18, 2023 House of Assembly election on the platform of Labour Party and his colleague, Hon Princewill Ugochukwu Amuchie who contested on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were sworn in yesterday as members of the Imo State House of Assembly for Owerri Municipal Council and Aboh Mbaise State Constituency respectively.

It would be recalled that Hon Clinton Amadi, who was the Majority Leader of the 6th Assembly lost the election to Hon Obodo of the All Progressive Congress who the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, declared winner.

Consequently, Amadi went to the Election Petition Tribunal and later to the Court of Appeal where Obodo’s victory was upturned and he, Amadi was declared the duly elected candidate for Owerri Municipal Council State Constituency.

In the same vein, Hon Eddy Obinna who was already a member of the House of Assembly, had served out his first tenure and contested for a second tenure on the platform of the All Progressive Congress APC, before he was ousted by Hon Amuchie who contested election on the platform of the PDP.
