Non Indigenes Forum (NIFOM) of Owerri Municipal Council, in Imo State, the umbrella body of strangers resident in and doing business in Owerri Municipal Council, has honoured Hon Clinton Amadi, a former member of the Imo State House of Assembly as their Patron.

The group which consists of responsible men and women who have made their marks in different fields of human endeavour, including professionals, academics, captains of industry and artisans, who converged at a venue along Egbu Road, Owerri, said they chose Hon Amadi as their Patron after extensive scrutiny and deliberations on the benefits that accrued to non-indigenes when he was at different times the Majority Leader and Acting Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly some years ago.

Speaking at the occasion, the Chairman of NIFOM, Chief Cosmas Nwaohiri KSJI, who was also the Director General of Hon Clinton Amadi’s (Trust and obey) campaign organization assured his principal that the non indigenes resident in Owerri Municipal Council, who, by virtue of their population constitute the majority of eligible voters, will always throw their weight behind him and his political aspiration irrespective of the political party he belongs to.

Hon Amadi, in his speech recalled how he empowered and offered scholarships to several non-indigenes in his first outing as a lawmaker, pointing out that he will do more in the present dispensation.
