The National Vice Chairman of Labour Party, Chief Innocent Okeke has urged Imolites to brace up for the emergence of a Labour Party-led government that will replicate what Governor Alex Otti is doing in Abia State.

Okeke, who stated this while addressing newsmen ahead of the party’s national convention slated to hold in Umuahia, noted that “Abia has moved on at jet speed on the platform of Labour Party and the same thing will happen in Imo State if the people brace up because, ours, is the only party that has the capacity and the blue print of action to liberate Imolites from the shackles of purposeless and inept governance with our people-oriented ideology”.

Okeke, recalled that, “there was a time in Ondo State when the people yearned for good governance and Gov Olusegun Mimiko who was then elected on the platform of Labour Party took up the challenge and redefined leadership in the state within a very short time.

“Today, it is on record that all the roads that Mimiko constructed on the platform of Labour Party are still very strong.

“I want Imolites to know that what Mimiko, did in Ondo State is a tip of the iceberg compared to what Otti, will do in Abia State before the expiration of his tenure”.

The L.P. Chieftain further noted that governance is not a one-man show, hence Imo people must brace up and take their destiny in their hands. He urged them to identify with LP as anything short of that will not only be counter productive but will also rub off on the state, her people and their fortunes individually and collectively.

He commended Gov Otti for being a worthy ambassador who has neither disappointed the party nor the people who elected him, adding that with his superlative performance, it is obvious that Labour Party will win more states, come 2027.
