In a bid to increase its numerical strength and maintain a transparent and accountable process, the Imo State Labour Party has commenced the revalidation of old members and registration of new members.

In a release signed by the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Comrade Bright Ofurum, he revealed that the exercise has fully and seamlessly commenced in the 305 electoral wards in Imo State, adding that there is a very large turn out and compliance of old members as well as new entrants motivated by the significant performance of the Party at the last Presidential, Legislature and Gubernatorial elections held in 2023, where it is generally believed that the Party massively won the elections across the State.

Ofurum, enjoined Party faithfuls to go to their respective wards where the exercise is taking place, to revalidate their membership of the Party while new members are advised to register.

The Statement also hinted that the State Party Chairman Barr Calistus Ihejiagwa KSJI, has directed that full annual dues as well as registration fee be paid and receipts collected to that effect, stressing that only members who have revalidated, fully paid their annual dues and have their names entered in the New Membership Register will be eligible to participate in the forth coming Ward, Local Government and State Congresses.

The Publicity Secretary confirmed that the exercise holds every day as from 8am – 5pm simultaneously in all the 305 wards across Imo State and will last for one month.

He charged old and new members of the party, the OBIdient family and Imolites in in general to participate.
