– As Court Affirms Him Authentic TPM
A High Court sitting in Iho, headquarter of Ikeduru Local Government Area, on June 24, 2025, delivered judgment in Suit No: HIH/62/2023 filed by Chief Uzoma Ekeanyanwu and others against the Traditional Prime Minister (TPM) of Obi Mbieri community, Prof Kyrian Chinedu Ndikom.
In the judgment, the Honourable Court invoked chapter 32/12 of the Obi Mbieri Constitution affirming that the Traditional Ruler has no right to remove the Traditional Minister of the community unless he commits a crime. The court also averred that Ekeanyanwu and his group contradicted themselves by stating in one their letters that Ndikom did not acknowledge acceptance of the position in writing, and in their affidavit that Ndikom was convening meetings on behalf of Traditional ruler, “ The court, after reviewing the evidence and arguments before it, unequivocally declared Prof. Kyrian Ndikom as the authentic and rightful Traditional Prime Minister of Obi Mbieri.
The latest ruling is the third consecutive court judgment in favor of Prof. Kyrian Ndikom. This, according to a source, has further given credence to his legitimacy thereby negating all the subtle and obvious distractions that have trailed his office in recent times.
Speaking shortly after the court’s decision, Chief J.A.H. Osuji, Public Relations Officer of the Eze’s cabinet, commended the judgment which he said has shown in very clear terms that the erudite Professor is the choice of the people.
“This judgement has unequivocally confirmed what we already know — that the people of Obi Mbieri stand solidly behind a man who has exhibited vision, maturity, love and patriotic zeal for his community.
Aside from the legal victory, this judgment is a testament to the overwhelming trust, support, and confidence the people of Obi Mbieri have in their Traditional Prime Minister. It is a reflection of his selfless services, commitment to peace, and giant strides in the community’s developmental efforts. Under his leadership, Obi Mbieri has witnessed unity, progress, and a rekindled communal spirit that prioritizes the welfare of all.”
“The people have spoken before; the courts have now re-echoed their voices Prof. Kyrian Chinedu Ndikom remains the people’s choice and the lawfully recognized Traditional Prime Minister of Obi Mbieri Autonomous” Community”.
