–         Describes Publication As False, Mischievous

General Secretary of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS, Zone F in Imo State, Comrade Alfred Jacinta Chinedu, has distanced and dissociated the association from the purported endorsement of Chief Charles Orie, one of the aspirants for the Imo State governorship election.

NANS, in a press statement signed by the Secretary General Comrade Alfred Jacinta Chinedu said, “This notice is being issued to address the misleading information surrounding the purported endorsement of Chief Charles Orie.

“That the leadership of NANS Zone F in Imo State led by the Secretary General, Comr. Alfred, Jacinta Chinedu paid a courtesy visit to Chief Charles Orie upon his invitation, appreciating his generosity and contributions towards Nigerian students in the region.

“During the visit, Chief Orie made a personal promise to leaders, including various SUG Presidents from schools across Imo State, to give them  iPhone 16 devices.

“ Following the visit, I received information on June 26, 2025, regarding Chief Orie’s intentions to fulfill his earlier promise.

“Upon arrival at the designated location, Chief Orie was absent, but his brothers were present.

“These individuals proposed a request for the leadership to endorse Chief Orie, which I explicitly refused, stating firmly that NANS remains apolitical and does not endorse  individual for political offices.”

“I therefore raised strong concern over the unauthorized use of my image and that of the association for the purported endorsement and hereby dismiss it as mischievous and unacceptable.”

“It is on this note that I, Comr. Alfred Chinedu Jacinta, Secretary General, NANS Zone F, unequivocally denied any involvement in the endorsement of Chief Charles Orie. It’s  an over zealous person who wants to score cheap political points in the the presence of Chief Charles Orie that are behind this heinous act”.

“I am therefore giving whoever is behind the publication to pull it down and retract it within the next 24hrs with a written apology or face the legal consequences of his actions”.
