— Marks a Renewed Spirit of Unity Across Borders
In a historic demonstration of pan-Orlu solidarity, the President General of Orluzurumee, Rt. Hon Chief Ugochukwu Nzekwe, paid a landmark visit to the Germany chapter, a highly formidable and resourceful arm of the socio-cultural movement of the organization, as part of his ongoing European tour aimed at galvanizing unity, development, and cultural preservation among Orlu sons and daughters in the diaspora.
The visit, which took place in the vibrant city of Hamburg, brought together prominent members of the Orlu community from various parts of Germany and neighboring European countries. The event was marked by a rich display of Igbo cultural heritage, engaging discussions, and strategic interactions focused on the future of the Orlu nation.
Welcomed with resounding ovation and traditional rites, the President General expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Germany chapter for their unwavering commitment to the ideals of Orluzurumee. He commended their organizational structure, cultural consciousness and development-driven initiatives, describing them as exemplary for other chapters across the continent.
“The strength of a people lies in their ability to stay connected, regardless of distance,” Chief Nzekwe remarked. “This visit is not just ceremonial; it is a reaffirmation of our shared identity and collective responsibility to build a greater Orlu nation both at home and abroad.”
During the interactive session, members of the Germany chapter raised vital issues affecting the diaspora community, from cultural erosion among second-generation immigrants to the need for streamlined participation in local Orlu affairs.
Specifically, the Germany Chapter President, Ambassador Micheal Ekpe and trustee member, Nze Aham Dike reiterated the readiness of the chapter to support the government of the day, if called upon, in efforts to build a more secure and prosperous Orlu Zone. Their passion for development and unity reflects the enduring spirit of Orluzurumee.
In response, the President General unveiled part of his administration’s strategic diaspora engagement framework, which includes the establishment of an international liaison committee and a cultural education trust. He thanked the leadership and members of the chapter for their unwavering dedication and urged them to continue being good ambassadors of Orlu heritage, emphasizing the importance of diaspora involvement in shaping the future of the zone as well as assuring them of the home front’s openness to their ideas and investments.
Also present at the event were representatives from other Igbo socio-cultural groups in Germany, who lauded Orluzurumee’s transnational outreach and pledged collaborative support for cultural advocacy and community development projects.
The visit ended on a celebratory note with cultural dances and reaffirmation of the chapter’s loyalty to the central vision of Orluzurumee.
As the Orluzurumee President General continues his European tour, the spirit of unity and cultural pride travels with him, igniting a renewed sense of purpose, identity, and hope among Orlu people across the globe, strengthening the global network of Orluzurumee and mobilizing collective effort for regional advancement.
