A Chieftain of Labour Party and Chairman, Peter Obi Presidential Campaign Council, in Imo State, Chief Martin Agbaso (Ochudo) has described reports of his purported plan to dump Labour Party, as published in an Owerri based newspaper, as false, misleading and baseless.

This was contained in a release captioned “Ochoudo Martin Agbaso: Firmly Committed to the Labour Party, Disregard False Claims” signed by the Hon Speedwell Emeka Onyewuotu, and made available to the press.

The release which copy was made available to this reporter yesterday, reads, “We condemn the propagation of baseless rumors and misinformation, which only serve to undermine the integrity of responsible journalism. We urge the public to disregard these false claims and remain focused on the facts. Mischief-makers seek to create division, but we stand united in our dedication to the Labour Party’s principles, values, and objectives.

“We express gratitude to the supporters who continue to show unwavering support. Your belief in Ochoudo Martin Agbaso and the Labour Party is a testament to our shared vision for a better future.

“The local tabloid responsible for publishing the false article should reevaluate its journalistic standards and desist from being used as tool in the hands of detractors”.
