— Extols Prof. Dozie’s Superlative Performance Ss Vice Chancellor

Comrade Precious Nwadike, Chief Executive Officer of Spectacular Publishing Ltd and Chairman, Board of Trustees of Orluzurumee Youth Assembly, has revealed how he, alongside other patriotic comrades, fought to recover K.O. Mbadiwe University, Ideato, from the former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, and his family.

Nwadike, in a telephone interview with this reporter, said:“K.O. Mbadiwe University, which was built with state funds, was initially registered with the National Universities Commission (NUC) as Imo European University, and later as Eastern Palm University, Ogboko.

“Initially, we were unaware that it had been registered as the second state-owned university in Imo State and the 37th state university in Nigeria.

“However, through our intelligence network, we were able to obtain the relevant information and documents confirming this.Once we uncovered its true ownership and registration status, we proceeded to court. The State government realizing how serious we were in the matter had no option than to do the needful.

Nwadike avarred that Orluzurumee Youth Assembly gave Imo government two options, where were; either you take over the school or release the lands to the orginal owners. This prompted the state government to intervene. They took over the institution, and renamed it K.O. Mbadiwe University (KOMU), Ideato.I am proud that the institution now belongs to the Imo people, who are its rightful owners.”

He further expressed satisfaction with the achievements of the university under its current leadership:“I am highly impressed by the superlative performance of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ikechukwu Dozie, and his team. Through hard work, resilience, and determination, they have transformed KOMU into a leading citadel of learning.

“Virtually all the courses offered have been fully accredited by the relevant bodies, while those still undergoing accreditation are close to approval. This is no small feat to accomplish in just a few years. Prof. Dozie and his management team deserve commendation from all well-meaning Imo people who value hard work and result-oriented leadership.”
