The All Nigerian People’s Party (ANPP) APC bloc had decried sheer abandonment by the Renewed Hope Agenda championed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, regretting that the negligence the ANPP members saw in the regime of late President Mohamadu Buhari is playing out currently.
The ANPP APC bloc stated this in a release signed and issued to the media in Owerri on Thursday by its National Coordinator and Secretary, Prof. Vitalis Ajumbe and Alhaji Abubakar Abdulahi.
The group urged the President to tow the path of justice and equity and give the ANPP APC bloc members the chance to work in the APC controlled government to enable them have more sense of belonging and hence support the reelection of President Tinubu in 2027.
“Gentlemen of the press, we concluded our third leadership meeting where we deliberated
on issues concerning our common interests as members of the former All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP) of the APC bloc.
“We discussed on issues concerning the none inclusion of former ANPP members in the service of our Nation since the formation of APC which the former ANPP leadership co- initiated and partly funded.
“Recall that during our last meeting on July 28, 2025, we made the following demands from President Ahmed Tinubu for his consideration
and approval. Inclusivity: To offer our services to this government and Nigerians. The APC government led by President Tinubu should consider our members by appointing us as Board Chairmen, Ambassadors, Ministers, Heads of Government Agencies and Departments just as is the case with other parties that merged to form APC.
“Vice Presidential Seat: To remain sacrosanct for the former ANPP bloc in APC as the second largest contributor to the formation of APC. Since the formation of APC, CPC bloc has ruled for 8 years under the late President Mohamadu Buhari. The ACN bloc is currently occupying the Presidency.
“Fairness and equity demand that our President should hand over power to the ANPP bloc when his tenure expires in 2031. We hope Mr. President is looking into these demands.
“While still waiting for the President to look into our demands, we had resolved to galvanize our structures and members in the 774 local government areas of the country to ensure regular meeting so as to mobilize support for the reelection of Tinubu.
“To organize a mega match in the federal capital Abuja in support of President Tinubu’s re-election at a date to be decided later.
“To work with the campaign structure of our Party, APC, for the re-election of Tinubu come 2027. We hereby endorse President Tunubu and his policies and programs for a better Nigeria. We formally congratulate our National Chairman, Prof. Nentawa Goshwe
Yilwatda, on his appointment as our National Chairman. We are happy to
work with him.
“We hereby mandate all our leaders to ensure regular meetings at their different LGAs and States”, they hinted.
