A committed member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and ally of Governor Hope Uzodimma, Rt. Hon. Gozie Nwagba, has said that Imo State has recorded remarkable progress and success in its 50 years of existence.

Nwagba, who expressed excitement over the celebration of Imo State’s Golden Jubilee, stated during a telephone interview on Wednesday that the people of the state have remained peaceful, loving, industrious, productive, and creative, working together with mutual understanding despite numerous challenges.

An indigene of Obor community in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State and Palace Secretary to His Royal Highness, Eze Obi Ralph Ekezie, Nwagba congratulated Governor Hope Uzodimma for what he described as visionary leadership that has transformed the state, particularly in road infrastructure development.

“I do not know what would have been the fate of Ndi Imo if we did not have Hope Uzodimma as governor. It takes willpower, courage, and a strong spirit to revolutionize the state and confront insecurity head-on.

“When you look around Imo State, especially Orlu LGA where I come from, there is massive infrastructure development. Across the state, the quality of roads completed and those ongoing clearly show that the governor is destined to lead at this critical time. To crown it all, he initiated the creation of Anim State while serving in the Senate,” he said.

Nwagba congratulated the governor and the people of Imo State on the 50th anniversary, commending the administration for the strides already made and those still underway.

“I vow to continue doing my best to support the APC and the 3R administration to further move the state forward,” the Orluzurumee Board of Trustees member stated.

He called on Imo people to continually rally around the governor by actively participating in politics and governance, aligning with the APC to ensure a smooth transition and the sustainability of the progress and development already initiated. He further urged them to remain calm, steadfast, and resolute.
