APC Orlu LGA congratulates Amanator Okporo Traditional Ruler
The leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC), in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State yesterday, paid a courtesy visit to the traditional ruler of Amanator Okporo autonomous community, His Royal Highness, Eze Dr Emeka Ujagba to thank and commend him for donating twelve (12) motorcycles to the local vigilante group in Okporo clan.
The APC Chairman in Orlu Local Government Area, Hon Ejike Anthony Ibekaeme, accompanied by other stakeholders and representatives expressed the party’s appreciation for the monarch’s unwavering commitment to peace, security of lives and property and grassroots development. The motorcycles officially presented to support local security operations are expected to a very enhance mobility, rapid response and surveillance efforts in the community and environ.
In his remarks, HRH, Eze Dr. Francis Emeka Ujagba emphasized that the donation was borne out of his deep concern for the safety of lives and property in Okporo and Orlu at large. He reiterated that security remains a collective responsibility and commended the proactive efforts of the Imo State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma, in strengthening security architecture across the state. The royal father noted that his gesture aligns with the state government’s security initiatives, as well as the ongoing efforts of the Executive Chairman of Orlu LGA, Hon. Pastor Chris Mbarie JP*, to maintain peace and order within the local government.
Eze Dr Francis Ujagba further called on other well-meaning individuals, traditional rulers, and stakeholders to support security agencies and community vigilantes, stressing that sustainable development can only thrive in a peaceful and secure environment.
Responding on behalf of the party and government, the APC Orlu LGA Chairman , Hon.Ejike Ibekaeme expressed profound gratitude to the royal father for his generosity and foresight. They described the donation as timely and impactful, noting that it demonstrates exemplary leadership and a strong sense of responsibility towards the welfare of the people.
The Executive Chairman of Orlu LGA, Hon. Pastor Chris Mbarie JP who formally received the motorcycles on behalf of His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma, assured that the equipments would be judiciously utilized for the intended purpose. He further reaffirmed the commitment of the APC-led administration in the state to partnering with traditional institutions and community leaders to strengthen security and ensure the protection of lives and property across Orlu LGA.
The APC leadership also assured residents that the government is resolute in its mission to sustain peace, curb criminal activities, and create an enabling environment for economic growth and social stability.
