The Isu Clan Consultative Assembly has condemned in very strong terms what referred to as marginalization of the Isu Clan as regards sensitive political offices including the Orlu, Orsu, Oru East federal constituency seat.
The group, in a letter dated, May 20 2026, which it addressed to the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma stated that, “ We of Isu Clan passionately appeal to you our dear Governor to wipe out our tears by granting Isu Clan the House of Representative Ticket in your great Party for the forthcoming national elections This kind gesture will wipe out our tears and strengthen our confidence in you and your leadership of the Federal Constituency”.
The letter captioned, “REQUEST FOR JUSTICE AND EQUITY:HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE SEAT FOR ORLU,ORSU AND ORU-EASTFEDERAL CONSTITUENCY”, and signed by HRH Eze M.C Duruigbo (lgbonenye of Umuowa), AG Chairman,Isu Clan Traditional Council of Ndi Eze, Professor Ukachukwu Awuzie Chairman, Isu Clan Elders Council, HRH Eze GA.E.OAgbayim (Eze Ahurukwe of Amike) Secretary,Isu Clan Traditional Council of Ndi Eze, Stevé Anugwom, Isu Clan Youth Forum Leader, noted that since the inception of the fourth republic in 1999, Oru East has occupied the position for 4 years, Orsu LGA for 16 years and Orlu is about to complete the second tenure of 8 years.
They expressed concern that despite losing two of their illustrious sons who died while seeking to reclaim their mandates which were allegedly stolen, occupying the position has still remained a mirage.
“Your Excellency, let me remind you that the Isu clan has not produced a member of the Federal House of Representatives since the creation of the Federal constituency. This has been described by political analysts, as the height of political marginalization”.
We of the Isu clan passionately appeal to you to assist the Isu clan to get the ticket for the House of Representatives seat for the 2027 election”.
This will go a long way in ensuring peace, justice, harmony and mutual co-existence that will enhance the fortunes of our great party”.
