-Recalls past genocidal experience
The Member who represents Ideato South and North Federal Constituency, in the House of Representatives, Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, has accused the Anti Kidnapping Unit (Tiger Base), of attacking his supporters during a political rally held at Ntueke in Ideato South LGA, recently.
Ikenga, in a release he shared on his Facebook Handle, said that the Tiger Base operatives who he regretted wickedly teargassed, fired live bullets, as well as blocked his supporters from holding the rally, were the same police officers who he said genocidally attacked his ancestral home where many innocent persons were killed and scores dehumanized.
He called on the Inspector-General of Police to honorably fish out the beasts in police uniform and punish them in accordance to the law to reduce attack on the opposition politicians and innocent Imo citizens just as it happened in Delta State, which he identified the genocide in Imo perpetrated by Tiger Base was worse to.
“The same notorious Imo State Tiger Base police who tried to Kill Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere is the same squad who attacked my supporters last week at Ntueke during a rally where they injured over 15 people with teargas and live bullets.
“As IGP is dealing with Delta State killer police officers, he needs to look towards Imo State that is worse than Delta. Many have been killed in Imo State than in Delta State”, Ikenga regretted.
