Barr. Vivian Ottih, Chairman of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Imo State Chapter, has emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Oguta State Constituency ahead of the 2027 elections.
The emergence of Ottih, a seasoned journalist, human rights activist, and former staff member of the Imo Broadcasting Corporation (IBC), has been widely hailed as a well-deserved reward for her doggedness, determination, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of humanity, particularly her constituents.
Ottih had courageously resigned from the corporation after condemning alleged injustice within the system and the unfair treatment of staff by management.
Speaking on her emergence, Barr. Ottih described it as an act of God and pledged to justify the confidence reposed in her through result-oriented and people-centered representation that would improve the welfare of her constituents in all ramifications.
She commended the leadership of the party for giving her the opportunity to fly the party’s flag and promised not to take the privilege for granted.
