The Legislative Performance Assessment Committee of the Orluzurumee Youth Assembly (OYA) has formally submitted its report to the Exco of the Assembly for public unveiling.

This piece of notice was contained in a statement signed and released to the media by the Chairman of the Legislative Performance Assessment Committee,

Orluzurumee OYA, Comr. Nnamdi Achi, on Wednesday.

“The Legislative Performance Assessment Committee of the Orluzurumee Youth Assembly is pleased to announce to Ndi Orlu Zone and the general public that it has successfully concluded its assignment of assessing the performance of elected lawmakers representing Orlu Senatorial Zone.

“Following months of intensive work, which included official correspondence with lawmakers, public sensitization, radio engagements, stakeholder consultations, field assessments, project verification and extensive data gathering, the Committee has completed its comprehensive Legislative Performance Assessment Report.

“The report has now been formally transmitted to the National Leadership of the Orluzurumee Youth Assembly for its consideration and official public presentation.

“The Committee believes that this report represents a significant milestone in promoting transparency, accountability and people-centered governance within Orlu Zone. It provides an objective, evidence-based assessment of the legislative performance, constituency engagements, development initiatives and overall representation of elected public office holders across the Zone.

“We therefore respectfully call on the National Leadership of the Orluzurumee Youth Assembly to expedite the official unveiling and publication of the report. Ndi Orlu Zone deserves to know how those entrusted with the people’s mandate have performed, the impact they have made, the promises they have fulfilled and the areas where greater commitment is required.

“This exercise was never intended to witch-hunt or discredit anyone. Rather, it was conceived as a civic responsibility aimed at strengthening democratic accountability, encouraging quality representation and promoting a culture where public service is measured by tangible results and measurable impact.

“The Committee expresses its sincere appreciation to the leadership of the Orluzurumee Youth Assembly for the confidence reposed in it, as well as to community leaders, civil society organizations, the media, stakeholders and Ndi Orlu Zone for their cooperation and invaluable contributions throughout the exercise.

“We remain confident that the publication of this report will deepen democratic engagement, encourage higher standards of representation and inspire greater confidence between elected representatives and the people they serve”, Achi stated.
