The Imo State Commissioner for Works Ralph Nwosu recently paid an uncheduled inspection visit to the sites of the various on-going road construction/rehabilitation projects in the state to assess the pace and quality of work.
The inspection was in line with the state government’s commitment to ensuring that critical infrastructure projects are executed in line with approved specifications and completed within the specified time frame.
The Commissioner expressed satisfaction with the level of work on some of the sections, but urged the contractor handling the Owerri-Elele Road project to increase his momentum to ensure timely completion.
He stressed that the Hope Uzodimma led administration is unwavering in its resolve to provide standard and durable road infrastructure that will enhance connectivity, reduce travel time, improve safety, stimulate commerce and investment, and further consolidate Imo state’s position as a hub for economic growth and development.
