Hamburg, Germany — A Convention to Remember

The 2026 Mbaise Europe Convention, held in the beautiful city of Hamburg, Germany, has come and gone, but its memories, messages, friendships, and remarkable moments will remain indelible in the hearts of Nde Mbaise.

This year’s Convention was far more than an annual gathering. It was a powerful demonstration of unity, culture, leadership, philanthropy, youth empowerment, and our collective determination to build a healthier, stronger, and more united Mbaise.

With the compelling theme, “Redefining Health in Mbaise,” the Convention provided a platform for meaningful conversations on physical and mental health, the dangers confronting our youths, substance abuse, community development, and the responsibility of every Mbaise son and daughter to contribute to the wellbeing of our people.

It was, indeed, a gathering of purpose.

DR JUSTUS OBASI: A VOICE FOR BETTER HEALTHCARE IN MBAISE

One of the remarkable highlights of the just-concluded Mbaise Europe Convention in Hamburg, Germany, was the insightful lecture delivered by Dr Justus Obasi on the importance of establishing a diagnostic centre in Mbaise.

With clarity, expertise, and a deep understanding of the healthcare needs of our people, Dr Obasi brought to the fore the urgent need for improved access to quality diagnostic services in our communities. His presentation underscored the importance of early detection, accurate diagnosis, and timely medical intervention in saving lives and improving health outcomes.

The proposed diagnostic centre represents more than just a healthcare facility. It is a vision for a healthier Mbaise, where our people can access essential medical investigations without having to travel long distances or face unnecessary delays in receiving proper care.

Dr Obasi’s lecture was a timely reminder that healthcare development must remain a collective responsibility. It calls for the commitment of our leaders, medical professionals, diaspora community, and all stakeholders to support initiatives that will bring meaningful and sustainable healthcare improvements to Mbaise.

We sincerely appreciate Dr Justus Obasi for his excellent presentation, his valuable contribution to the Convention, and his passion for the wellbeing of our people. His message has further strengthened the conversation around the need for a modern diagnostic centre and the role each of us can play in making this vision a reality.

The 2026 Mbaise Europe Convention, themed “Redefining Community Healthcare in Mbaise,” provided an important platform for this discussion and reinforced the shared commitment to building a healthier future for our people

Together, let us continue to support initiatives that will make quality healthcare more accessible, affordable, and sustainable in Mbaise.

A PATRON OF GOODWILL — EZINWA SIR STANLEY AMUCHIE

One of the remarkable highlights of the Convention was the benevolent donation by our distinguished Patron, Ezinwa Sir Stanley Amuchie, Executive Director, Fidelity Bank Plc.

Sir Stanley is not merely a patron in name. He is a man of goodwill, an extraordinary philanthropist, and a dependable friend of Mbaise Europe who has remained steadfast with the Union from its inception until today.

His generosity and unwavering commitment to the progress of Mbaise Europe are deeply appreciated.

Sir Stanley, your continued faith in our Union is a testament to the fact that true leadership is measured not merely by position but by impact, sacrifice, and the willingness to support others.

Nde Mbaise says thank you. May Almighty God continue to replenish your resources and bless you and your family abundantly.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AND A NEW GENERATION OF LEADERS

Another outstanding moment was the presence of the brilliant, elegant, and dynamic Honourable Dr Emeka Chuky Mandela Ukaegbu, Commissioner for Youth Development and Talent Hunt, Imo State.

His presence added tremendous value to the Convention. Beyond his physical presence, however, was his commitment to the future of our young people.

The official inauguration of the Mbaise Europe Youth Wing was a historic milestone and a clear indication that the Union understands the importance of deliberately preparing, empowering, and engaging the next generation

Honourable Commissioner, your contribution to the Convention and to the advancement of Mbaise youths can not be wished away. Your passion, energy, and dedication to youth development are highly commendable.

We thank you for identifying with us and for giving our young people a platform through which they can participate meaningfully in the affairs and future of Mbaise.

A SOBERING MESSAGE ON DRUG ABUSE

We also extend our profound appreciation to the Special Adviser on Narcotics and Illicit Drugs Monitoring to the Governor of Imo State, Hon. Chief Ezechukwu Nnamdi Obonna, whose presentation on the abuse of illegal substances was both enlightening and thought-provoking.

His lecture brought the issue of drug abuse close to home, examining its devastating impact on individuals, families, communities, and society, with Mbaise as a case study.

It was a timely intervention.

The message was clear: the fight against drug abuse can not be left to government alone. Parents, religious leaders, traditional rulers, community organisations, schools, youth groups, and the entire society must become active participants in protecting our young people.

We appreciate your courage, knowledge, and commitment to this very important cause.

MBAISE UNITY WITHOUT BORDERS

Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to the President of Mbaise U.S.A., Odozieobodo Alozie Aguwa, and his Lolo, Dr Ihechi Aguwa, whose commitment to the progress and unity of Mbaise Europe is substantially appreciated.

We appreciate your sacrifices, commitment, and dedication.

THE MEN AND WOMEN BEHIND THE SUCCESS

A special salute goes to the Chairman of the Convention Planning Committee, Chief Chikeruba Norbert Chukwunyere, and every member of the Planning Committee.

Your relentless drive, countless meetings, sacrifices, coordination, and attention to detail culminated in the successful hosting of the 2026 Convention.

You were that team.

Nde Mbaise Europe appreciates you.

You are not merely the leaders of tomorrow; you are important stakeholders in the Mbaise of today.

We encourage you to remain engaged, united, responsible, and committed to the development of our people.

HAMBURG — OUR HOST CHAPTER

To the Hamburg Local Chapter, led by Nze Emeka Onuoha, we say a very big thank you.

You opened your doors, embraced the responsibility, and delivered.

Hosting a convention of this magnitude requires sacrifice, commitment, resources, coordination, and teamwork. Your chapter rose magnificently to the occasion.

We are grateful.

MBAISE WOMEN — THE COLOUR AND SOUL OF OUR CULTURE

And then came our wonderful Mbaise Women Wing.

Your cultural dance, elegance, energy, and beautiful performance brought life and colour to the Convention.

But beyond the cultural display was something even more beautiful — your undiluted love for Mbaise Europe.

Your commitment is effervescent, your passion is renowned, and your contribution to preserving the cultural identity of our people can not be overemphasised.

You reminded everyone that wherever Mbaise people gather, our culture must live.

We celebrate you.

TO EVERY SON AND DAUGHTER OF MBAISE

To every Mbaise son and daughter who travelled from different cities and countries, who supported the Convention financially, morally, spiritually, logistically, or simply through your presence, we say:

Thank you.

To those who worked behind the scenes, made calls, sent messages, made donations, provided transportation, welcomed guests, offered accommodation, promoted the Convention, and contributed in ways that may never be publicly acknowledged — we see you, and we appreciate you.

The strength of Mbaise is not in one person.

It is in our collective spirit.

It is in our ability to come together.

It is in our willingness to lift one another.

It is in our determination to preserve our heritage while building a better future for our children.

MBAISE EUROPE — THE JOURNEY CONTINUES

The 2026 Mbaise Europe Convention in Hamburg has demonstrated once again that our Union is growing, evolving, and becoming a stronger platform for unity, development, and cultural preservation.

The theme, “Redefining Health in Mbaise,” must not end with the Convention.

It must become a movement.

A movement towards healthier families.

Healthier youths.

Healthier communities.

A healthier Mbaise.

Let us continue to build bridges across Europe, America, Nigeria, and wherever Mbaise people reside around the world.

Let us empower our youths.

Let us protect our families.

Let us preserve our culture.

Let us support our leaders.

Let us encourage our women.

Let us strengthen our union.

Above all, let us remember that Mbaise is bigger than any individual, bigger than any chapter, and bigger than any temporary disagreement.

Our greatest strength is our unity.

One Mbaise. One People. One Destiny.

Hamburg 2026 may have ended, but the journey continues.

As we close the chapter on Hamburg, we are already looking forward to excitement and renewed determination to next year’s Mbaise Europe Convention in Paris, France.

May Almighty God bless every son and daughter of Mbaise.

May God bless Mbaise Europe.

May God bless Mbaise in Nigeria.

May God bless all our friends, partners, supporters, and well-wishers across the world.

Long live Mbaise Europe!

Long live Nde Mbaise!

Long live the unity and progress of our people!
