Candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for Okigwe North, Chidi Mike Anyanwu, has promised to run quality, fair and inclusive leadership when he goes to the House of Representatives in 2027.

Anyanwu, who is an illustrious indigene of Umuopara, Ugiri in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, said he loves the people of Isiala Mbano/Onuimo/Okigwe Federal Constituency dearly hence he would do his best to render democratic representation which he boasted no representative had ever done in the Constituency.

Anyanwu, fondly addressed as CMC, made the promise during the formal flagg-off of his campaign held at his residence in Amaraku, on Tuesday.

Anyanwu who appealed to the people of Okigwe North to see him worthy and fit for the Green Chamber Seat and give him their overwhelming mandate, assured the people that he would not fail them, but makes them more proud.

“Time to start working is now. We need to change our people, our place and we are no longer doing politics of your own personal interest. That is not the politics I want to play. We will ensure that what is due for Okigwe North will surely get to them.

“NDC is a good party with fair blueprints and idealogies that will richly advance the cause of the people who deserve good governance, good living, peace and development.

“I thank God for availing us this great opportunity and I am deeply overwhelmed by the mammoth crowd and love I get from my people”, CMC added.

While handling over the party’s flag to Anyanwu, the Zonal chairman of NDC, Hon. Emma Nkenjika, called on the people of Isiala Mbano, Onuimo and Okigwe Federal Constituency to vote all APC candidates in the 2027 elections to enable the party better the lots of the country, describing CMC as a good person who is people oriented and development driven.
