–  Clarifies Issues

The Rebuild Imo Movement has debunked false claims by an alleged faceless  group parading as the Ideato South Leadership of the Advanced Democratic Congress ADC in Imo State.

The Director General of the Rebuild Imo Movement, Dr Vin Udokwu in a press release he signed and made available to the press said, “We have taken note of a recent publication by a faceless group in Ideato South, pretending to represent ADC leadership in Imo State. They have made misleading assertions that require public clarification to preserve integrity, unity, and transparency.

ADC in Imo State functions as a coalition vehicle – a broad, inclusive platform inviting all genuine democratic actors into its fold. Leadership of this coalition is vested in structures defined and recognized at the national, state, and local levels, under the stewardship of Distinguished Senator David Mark’s National Leadership Team”.

He described the ADC in Imo State, as a broad, inclusive platform for all genuine democrats, adding that leadership of the coalition is vested in structures that are defined and recognized at the national, state and local levels under the stewardship of Distinguished Senator David Mark’s Interim National Executive.

Udokwu, further stated that, “ADC’s leadership in Imo State is undisputed and well-known; it comprises individuals who are officially endorsed and structured within the party framework. Any claims to leadership outside these structures are misleading, empty, and without foundation.

Role within the Coalition  Our movement stands as a constructive partner within the coalition ADC. We contribute to its growth, professionalism, and inclusivity – not as claimants to organizational control, but as collaborators pushing for genuine democracy. Our role transcends opportunistic maneuvers; it is rooted in vision and accountability.

The so-called Ideato South leadership is faceless; they are neither recognized by the party structure nor supported by any credible constituency. Their self-proclaimed authority is a sham – a political theater aimed at disrupting the coalition’s cohesion.

ADC remains the “Noah’s Ark” of coalition politics – capacious enough to accommodate all stakeholders who share a genuine desire to salvage our state from decline. But there is no room for individuals or groups aiming to hijack or fracture its structure.

Yes, ADC has recognized leadership from national to ward levels, properly maintained by Democratic process and under Senate President Mark’s guidance. In Imo State, that leadership is clear and respected. We intervened not to substitute or disrupt, but to defend our movement’s integrity – only because we were unjustly mentioned and misrepresented.

The Rebuild Imo Movement remains steadfast in its commitment to principle, inclusivity, and grounded political strategy. We urge the public and coalition partners to dismiss the antics of impostors and focus on genuine collaboration. The coalition ADC stands firm, and with our shared resolve, the rebuilding of Imo State continues.

Let the coalition vehicle carry all who earnestly seek progress – not those who peddle confusion. The brighter future for Imo rests on unity, not spectacle”.
