The African Democratic Congress ADC, Imo State Chapter, on Wednesday September 3, 2025, held a State Executive Council meeting at its State Secretariat, Huson House, New Owerri, where members deliberated on party issues and the socio-political climate in the state.
A release signed by the State Publicity Secretary of the Party, Chief Macdonald Amadi KSM, said some of the resolutions reached at the meeting are, “Unity and Strength: ADC in Imo State remains united and robust. The party welcomes all indigenes willing to join hands in building a new, better Imo State.
“Under the visionary leadership of State Chairman Professor James Okoroma, there are no factions within the ADC. We remain steadfast in the principles of a true people’s party.
Accountability: ADC condemns the pervasive insecurity, hunger, and hardship affecting Imo State. Misrule has inflicted pain on our people, and we shall not turn a blind eye.
Discipline: ADC will not be distracted by petty bickering or political mischief. We remain rooted in discipline, sacrifice, and peace.
Voter Mobilization: Sons and daughters of Imo State, both home and abroad, and non indigenes resident in the state, are urged to participate massively in the ongoing online voter registration and transfer process – a vital step towards reclaiming our state and shaping our future.
Security: We call on all security agencies to rise to their constitutional responsibilities and restore peace, security, and confidence among Ndi Imo.
Commitment: ADC remains steadfast in delivering progress, peace, and empowerment to all corners of Imo State.
ADC stands intact, determined, and resolute, ready to champion a truly democratic, prosperous, and peaceful Imo State”.
