– Vows to Uphold Unity, Security, Strengthen Development in area

The people of Orlu Senatorial District have have expressed confidence in the leadership style of the governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma while also vowing to uphold unity, peace, security, and development in the zone to ensure healthy progress and improved livelihoods.
The vow was made during the Expanded Leadership and Stakeholders Meeting of Orluzurumee Worldwide, held last Saturday at the headquarters of Orlu Local Government Area.
Stakeholders from the 12 Local Government Areas that make up the Orlu Senatorial District—including traditional rulers, community leaders, academics, entrepreneurs, and politicians—actively participated in the meeting. They emphasized the need for the zone to unite in order to improve peace, security, cordial relations, and development.
Prominent leaders present included HRM Eze Dr. E.C. Okeke, Chairman of the Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers; HRH Eze Thomas Obiefule; HRH Eze Sampson Okwudimma; former Presidents-General of Orluzurumee Worldwide, Chief Ruben Okoro, Chief Emeka Diwe, and Chief Chimee Nzeribe; Prof. Chuka Okonkwo and Prof. Chuk Awuzie, former Vice-Chancellors of Imo State University, Owerri; and Prof. F.C. Dike (SAN), Chairman of the Orlu Elders Council.
The leaders also applauded Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, for his positive policies and commitment to good governance, noting that his administration has made Orlu Zone and Imo State at large better, particularly in the areas of road construction, security, tourism, and hospitality.
They commended the leadership of Orluzurumee Worldwide for successfully organizing what they described as a highly impactful and well-attended meeting.
The high point of the event was passing confidence vote on the governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma which motion was moved by the Woman Leader of Orluzurumee Worldwide and immediate past lawmaker that represented Isu State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Mrs. Ngozi Obiefule. She praised the Governor’s giant strides in road infrastructure, healthcare delivery, community development, and education.
In his remarks, the Chairman of Orlu Local Government Area, Hon. Chris Mbarie, commended the leaders of Orlu Zone for being coordinated, organized, and patriotic. He extolled Governor Uzodimma for transformative projects that have changed the landscape of Imo State, particularly in Orlu Zone, and urged the people to continue supporting the administration as it advances development, strengthens the economy, improves livelihoods, and enhances social security in line with democratic principles and APC policy blueprints.
Earlier, the President-General of Orluzurumee Worldwide, Hon. Ugochukwu Nzekwe, expressed profound joy over the large turnout at the stakeholders’ meeting, describing it as a clear indication that Orlu Zone is returning to its culture of unity, peace, security, and patriotism.
The meeting concluded with the pouring of libation by traditional rulers of Orlu Senatorial Zone, led by Eze Okeke, who prayed for divine wisdom, guidance, success, and good health for Governor Hope Uzodimma, whom they described as a worthy son of Orlu Zone.
