Following the controversy that has trailed the sudden appearance of Ifeanyi Okorienta Eze alias Gentee De Yahoo in a viral video, some media handlers of the All Progressive Congress APC in Imo State, including FCC Jones Onwuasoanya, has described the said viral video as A.I generated.
According to Onwuasonaya, Gentle De Yahoo Is dead and the video in air authenticity is not a live video but a recorded one. The date mentioned in it, including the reference to the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s case which came up on January 26th, May seem to be accurate. However, in the video, Gentle goofed by saying that the case came up on January 27th.
If the criminal were alive as (PTO) claimed, he would have recorded the video in his hideout.
Onwuasoanya, further stated that if Gentle Den Yahoo were alive, and the video recorded on January 28th, 2026, as the peddlers would want his to believe, it would be a very big omission for them to ignore the closure of Onitsha main market and the protest embarked on by the traders and their sympathizer because, the is the most topical issue in the South East today. It’s the Omission of the Market’s closure and the crises it has elicited clearly shows that the video was recorded before the issue came up.
As it is now, some Imolites who now comment on the development are wondering who is actually telling the truth, considering the fact that the military had earlier claimed to have eliminated the name Gentle De Yahoo alongside (8) eight of his accomplices in Imo and Ebonyi States. The Director of Media Operations May General Magnus Kangye in a statement he issued them, said, “The military head of the IPOB/ESM, identified as Gentle De Yahoo and eight of his accomplices who had been on the military’s wanted list for a very long time. Those arrested, he said, had been engaging in alleged terrorist activities in the Southeast region. Hence, the joint task force, operation Udoka troops sustained an offensive operation against them”.
Imolites have been waiting for the military to confirm the authenticity or otherwise of the report recently. But the military is yet to issue a statement on the development.
