— Commends Wike, congratulates Abdulrahman, other newly elected NWC members

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Imo State chapter, felicitates with its leader, a seasoned administrator, and one of Imo’s most celebrated sons and political leaders, Dist. Sen. Samuel Anyanwu (Samdaddy), following his re-election as National Secretary at the PDP National Convention recently held at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

The party in the State commends Sen. Anyanwu for his visionary leadership, courage, and loyalty to the party and to his convictions, even in the most trying moments, a rare quality that has now earned him the trust and love of the vast majority of PDP leaders, major stakeholders, and members across Nigeria.

It acknowledges that, as in the case of Sen. Anyanwu, the reward for good work is more work, and expresses confidence in the ability of the Ikeduru LGA-born charismatic leader (given his unparalleled experience in party administration) to not only effectively discharge his duties with enviable finesse, but also play pivotal roles in the PDP’s next waves of success at all levels.

The Rt. Hon. Austine Nwachukwu-led PDP in Imo State reserves special commendation for the party’s national leader and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, His Excellency, Gov. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, for remaining a strong pillar of the party and for his crucial role in the success of the 2026 National Convention.

Imo PDP also congratulates the National Chairman, Alhaji Abdulrahman Mohammed, and other newly elected members of the National Working Committee (NWC), pledging to continue to be at the forefront of support and loyalty to the National Chairman’s administration as it takes the party to greater heights.

Imo PDP equally salutes members of the NWC, the Organizing Committee, the various state chapters, all delegates, and the entire PDP family in the country for putting up a hugely successful and hitch-free National Convention.

The party in Imo expresses confidence that the National Convention will usher in unity, reconciliation, and healing among party faithful across the board, and strengthen the confidence of the masses in the mother of all political parties.

It notes that, with INEC having monitored the exercise and the party having also satisfied all constitutional requirements, it now presents its platform as a reliable and credible alternative for individuals seeking to contest various elective positions in the 2027 general elections.

Imo PDP, therefore, calls on potential aspirants in the State to continue their preparations for the party’s upcoming primaries without restraint, and on its leaders to intensify the mobilization of more Imolites across the board into the party, taking advantage of the ongoing E-membership registration.
