– Urge Him To Concentrate On Improving His Alleged Poor, Performance
A group known as Equity Youth of Orlu zone, has cautioned the Majority Leader of the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon Kanayo Onyemaechi against dabbling into issues concerning the politics of Orlu zone.
The group in a statement captioned, “Stay Out of Orlu Zone Politics and Focus on Your Alleged Failure in Owerri West” , signed by Opara John Ugochukwu expressed disappointed that Onyemaechi, who has spent eight years in the Imo State House of Assembly including serving as a Principal Officer of the 10th House of Assembly and has practically nothing to show for it, had the temerity to dabble into the political affairs of Orlu zone.
According to the group, “Onyemaechi, who has no tangible landmark project to show for his eight years as a lawmaker should refrain from insulting his superiors in politics, particularly those with a track record of excellent performance with evidence”.
The group further stated that Onyemaechi,has over stepped his bounds and called on him to retract what it described as his derogatory remarks against Hon Jones Onyereri, who according to them is an illustrious and worthy son of Orlu zone, whose achievements will under no circumstances be compared with Onyemaech’s uneventful stay in the House of Assembly.
“If Onyemaechi fails to retract the remarks, we may consider taking legal action over the insults directed at our leader”.
Speaking with newsmen in Owerri, the Convener of the organization, Comrade Franklin described Onyemaechi as legislative a misnomer, adding that the people of Owerri West should reject any move he makes towards securing a third term in the Imo State House of Assembly.
According to Hon. A. I. Franklin, a visit to Orogwe, Umuguma, Ndegwu, Irete, Avu, Okuku, and other communities would, in his view, show that Owerri West has not received adequate representation in the Imo State House of Assembly, despite Onyemaeci’s almost eight year tenure
