– Hails Seven Years Of Legislative Performance
The United Isu Progressive Union (UIPU), a prominent socio-political and developmental organisation, has endorsed the Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu, for another term in office.
The endorsement was made during the union’s annual retreat, where members commended Iwuanyanwu for what they described as his commitment to the development of Nwangele and his contributions to the affairs of the union.
Iwuanyanwu, who represents Nwangele Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, was particularly praised for his legislative performance and dedication to his constituents over the past seven years.
Speaking at the retreat, the Governor of UIPU, Chief Ugochukwu Duru, urged members to support Iwuanyanwu’s bid for another term, saying his return to the House would provide an opportunity to consolidate the achievements recorded so far.
Duru noted that another term for the lawmaker would, among other things, help sustain ongoing developmental efforts and attract further opportunities to Nwangele.
He subsequently moved a motion for the endorsement of Iwuanyanwu, which was unanimously supported by members present at the retreat.
Responding, Iwuanyanwu expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of UIPU for the confidence reposed in him, describing the endorsement as a major source of encouragement for his political aspiration.
He pledged to remain committed to his vision of transforming the economic and developmental landscape of Nwangele, assuring the people that he would continue to serve with dedication and commitment.
The Deputy Speaker also appealed to UIPU members to support the senatorial ambition of Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, in the Orlu Senatorial District.
Iwuanyanwu disclosed that he would invite the Governor to an interactive session with members of UIPU ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to him, the engagement would provide an opportunity for members to interact directly with the Governor and further strengthen political collaboration between UIPU and the state government.
The Deputy Speaker reaffirmed his commitment to working with stakeholders and organisations across Nwangele and the wider Orlu zone to promote development and advance the interests of the people.
