As Imo people are yet to recover from the ugly experience of alleged  land grabbing and  racketeering that   characterised the Rescue Mission Administration of former  Governor, Rochas Okorocha, the lawyer that defended the former governor’s  inlaw Uche Nwosu, on the alleged Imo State missing bail out fund, Barrister Paschal Onwukaike, is allegedly involved in land grabbing and alleged possession of questionable allocation paper.

Reports revealed that the said land he allegedly wanted to grab belongs to Mr Martin  Uzoma Nwosu and is located at plot 14  Clovis Igbojionu Street, Umujechi Pocket Layout Nekede, Owerri West LGA of the state.

It was reliably gathered that originally, Barrister Onwukaike does not have any plot of land within Umujechi pocket Layout before a purported plan was carried out to modernize the place into a pocket layout  by one Mr Chikaodi Igbokwe, who claimed to be an authorised agent for ministry of lands
It could be recalled that during series of meetings held at the premises of the Traditional Ruler of Nekede Autonomous Community, His Royal Highness Eze Steve Agumanu, a place  Mr Igbokwe used as a meeting point with original land owners, he assured the original land owners within the area mapped for pocket Layout that priority attention will be given to them in the issuance of allocation papers.

How Barrister Onwukaike surfaced with A purpoted Allocation Paper to claim a plot of Land originally belonging to Mr Martins Nwosu with an existing structure at DPC level has remained a puzzle and  a rude shock to both stakeholders and observers within the environment as theycondemned whosoever allegedly gave Onwukaike Allocation Paper without considering the fact that the original owner of the land has an existing structure on the land at DPC level.
Media Observers following the matter have asked Barrister Onwukaike to publish the allocation paper in his possession, as well as publish the name of his client whom he claimed is the owner of the land, but he vehemently opposed it.

From further investigations, it was gathered that Barrister Onwukaike is purported planning to sell the land through the back door.
Findings also revealed that a lot of alleged criminal activities went on during the time Mr Igbokwe paraded himself as an authorised agent from Ministry  of Lands with  a purported release letter from the ministry and such alleged  criminal activities was successfully carried out as a result of conspiracy between Igbokwe and staffers of Ministry of Lands who delight in sharp practices.
While carrying out investigation on the matter, documents made available to Newsmen from  Martins Nwosu revealed that he is the original owner of the land and he bought it as far back as 1996 from a native of Umujechi Community.

The documents of Mr Martins Nwosu also revealed that the land was surveyed and registered in Imo State Ministry of Lands  when it was purchased in 1996.
From series  of reports gathered concerning activities of Mr Igbokwe, allocation papers were purportedly issued out  to friends and family members of the former governor who originally do not have any land in the said area.
Observers are of the view that Barr. Onwukaike of his client he has refused to mention his name may have allegedly gotten allocation paper to the land through the back door  due to his affinity to Uche Nwosu, whom he defended on the alleged missing Imo  bail out fund.
There were also reports that Mr Igbokwe flagrantly disregarded justice and fairness in giving allocation papers to original land  owners in the area.
When Barrister Onwukaike wascontacted by the Coordinator of Imo Media Observers Forum, IMOF, Comrade Chuks Nwokeji, through his number 08035820970 on October 9th, he claimed that the land belonged to his client. When he was asked to mention the name of his client, if he is truly saying the truth he flayed up and began to threaten the journalist that he will deal with him. He further cautioned the journalist not to call his number again if he truly likes his life.
Another opportunity was given to him for more clarifications on the matter on 13th October through a text message that reads,  “Good day, Barr. Paschal Onwukaike, your , response to issues of alleged land grabbing and possession of questionable allocation   paper on plot 14 Clovis Igbojionu, Str.Umujechi  Pocket Layout is too skeletal , there is need for full interview with You before we go to press”
When the lawyer received the text message his response was, “no problem let’s see in my office but when he was asked give location of his office he kept mute and never replied the message.
