A former Governorship Candidate in Imo State, Elder (Dr) George 0. Ibeatuche (JP) has expressed his determination to use his Rural Development Foundation to improve the welfare of suffering masses in Imo State. He has also expressed his willingness to partner with credible development-oriented organizations to actualize his God-given vision in this regard.

Elder (Dr) George O. Ibeatuche (JP) stated this during his speech to mark his Rural Development Seminar held at the Villa Maria Hall Owerri. He recalled some notable achievements which his Foundation had already recorded, including the microfinance bank to his Nekede Community which recently gave out loan facilities to various needy individuals, his partnership with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in teaching and mobilizing youths and women to form viable cooperative societies as well as skill acquisition programmes, including some blind handicapped persons. The procurement of a base at Mgbirichi in the Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area to improve the well-being of indigent widows, homeless destitutes and other needy individuals.

George Ibeatuche who is also a Pensioner further disclosed his plans to extend the good services to all the Rural Communities and Local Government Areas in Imo State with a view to enabling willing numerous jobless youths, indigent widows, suffering pensioners, homeless orphans and physically challenged persons to benefit from the good services. He has therefore pleaded with patriotic organizations and other stake-holders to donate operational vehicles and financial assistance to augment the good services of his foundation towards improving the welfare of impoverished masses in the State.

Earlier in his speech, the Chairman of the event, and the President of the Cooperative Federation in Imo State, Rev. Geoffery Samuel commended Elder Ibeatuche for his positive commitment in utilizing his personal funds to sustain the foundation which had already rendered outstanding good services to numerous needy persons. He expressed his willingness to partner with the Rural Development Foundation to extend various dividends of the Cooperative Federation of Imo State to the rural communities.

In his own speech, the Royal Father of this occasion, His Royal Highness, Eze Stephen Agumanu paid glowing tributes to Elder Ibeatuche for using his foundation to improve the well-being of needy individuals.

In his lecture, a Community Development Consultant, Mr. Constantine Ejiogu disclosed that his consulting firm has numerous avenues to attract funds from International Organizations for youth and women empowerment and skill acquisition schemes through the World Bank, Central Bank of Nigeria and other foreign investors focused on improving the well-being of jobless youths, women organizations and the suffering public. He also expressed his willingness to partner with Elder Ibeatuche towards attracting various genuine financial incentives to enhance the general wellbeing of the needy.
