Blames APC leadership for failure of Anambra election

Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has congratulated the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate in last Saturday’s Anambra state governorship election, Chief William Obiano on his victory at the polls.

The governor, as if reacting angrily to his exclusion from the Anambra governorship election campaign committee constituted by the national leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC), blamed the failure of his party in the election which he said was overwhelmingly won by APGA on internal wrangling, lack of sincere and genuine commitment.

He however congratulated the President Muhammed Buhari led APC government for organizing a credible and transparent election, which he said, indicates that APC has what it takes to entrench and strengthen the nation’s hard earned democracy.

Governor Okorocha, in the release, signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo also thanked the people of Anambra State for exhibiting high level of decorum and for if ignoring IPOB’s threats and call for boy colt.

He also advised other contestants to accept the result of the election without complaints, because “it is obvious from all indications that the APGA candidates victory is not questionable”.
