The National Deputy Chairman of the United Progressive Party (UPP), Chief (Sir) Ejike Uche (Dimkpasaa), has described Ideato North as home of UPP.

The Ndimoko Arondizuogu born Industrialist and political leader, made the assertion while addressing ward Chairmen of the party, at his palatial home last Saturday, February 2, 2019, during the campaign tour of Comrade Precious Nwadike, who was in the area to solicit support of the electorate.

He encouraged the 14 ward Chairmen of UPP in Ideato North LGA, to be proud of the party and to work harder for the victory of Comrade Precious Nwadike, as the next Senator of Orlu zone.

Chief Uche explained that Comrade Nwadike has shown capacity and UPP has demonstrated the desired paradigm shift, by giving its tickets to young people, with the required credibility and experience to move the state forward.

Continuing, he stated that Comrade Precious Nwadike has demonstrated that he has the requisite capacity to do so, by moving the zone forward, adding that, as far as Ideato North and South LGAs are concerned, UPP will sweep the polls.

He however raised alarm over plot by some undemocratic elements to rig the February 16, 2019, National Assembly election in the area, but vowed that anyone who attempts that would never get away with it.

Chief (Sir) Ejike Uche vowed that UPP will do all that is legitimate to resist the rigging of the election in Ideato North and South LGAs. The national leadership of the party led by Chief Chekwas Okorie, according to the former Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Chief Ejike Uche, is committed to ensuring that, UPP wins the coming elections, since the odds favour the party, greatly.

Responding, the local government Chairman, Chief Nduchekwe Elofuna Augustine, assured Chief Ejike Uche of the preparedness of the local government chapter to win with landslide victory.

He commended both the senatorial candidate and Dimkpasaa, for hosting such a strategic meeting of the LGA which has gone a long way to motivate them more.
