The National Association of Imo State Students (NAISS) which is the umbrella body of all Imo State Students in tertiary institutions across the country and in diaspora, has joined the rest of the world to felicitate and congratulate the in-coming governor of Imo State, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha on his victory at last Saturday March 9, 2019 polls.

The Association in their released signed by Comr. Anyaoha Tochi as President and Ejike PraiseGod CNN, as National Publicity Secretary described the performance of Emeka Ihedioha who was the standard bearer of Imo PDP, as a landslide victory for all lovers of democracy. “It is a litmus test for our nascent democracy as well as Imo State students who believe strongly in Ihedioha’s leadership proficiency and experiences”, they declared.

According to them, the just concluded elections are indications that Imolites are now of age with the stage looking brighter for future credible elections and for Imo youths especially the students community.

Their congratulatory message which was contained in a release made available to Community Watchdog Newspaper read in part thus,“Your victory depicts lessons and reminder to all political office holders to work in accordance with the students and people oriented programs at the grass root level to bring about the much desired catalyst for social and economic development.

NAISS urges the incoming governor to be magnanimous in victory and that the other aspirants should work and cooperate in harmony with the governor elect to hasten growth and development in Imo State.

“Congratulations Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha as we work to see Imo rebuilt and regain its pride as the eastern heartland”, they stated.
