The governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, has been urged to restore HRH, Eze (Dr) C.I Ilomuanya (Obi of Oninugwu) as the Chairman of Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers in line with the rule of law been championed by his administration.

The group who spoke to journalists shortly after a closed door meeting held in All Seasons Hotel, Owerri, called on all Imolites to support the Governor in his rebuild Imo project in order to restore the state to the part of sanity and development.

In a release signed by 84 traditional rulers selected from the three zones of the state, onbehalf of other traditional rulers, they commended Governor Emeka Ihedioha, for reinstating all the traditional rulers, who were unlawfully suspended by the immediate past administration and as well for paying them all their outstanding allowances that were denied them.

The Imo State Concerned Traditional Rulers Forum, also called on the Governor to dissolve the Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers that is currently led by HRH, Eze (Dr) Samuel Agunwa Ohiri, to ensure that the Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers does not lose focus.

The Chairman of the group, HRH, Eze (Dr) C.I Ilomuanya, (Obi of Obinugwu) and the Secretary, HRH, Eze (Barr) A.E.A Durueburuo (Obi of Okwudor) in the statement condemned in very strong terms, the recent inciting utterances of the immediate past Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha.

The Imo State Concerned Traditional Rulers Forum advised Okorocha, to give peace a chance and stop distracting the Governor, who all Imolites supported and elected in the last gubernatorial election in the state.

Speaking further, the traditional rulers urged the current administration in the state not to waste any further time in probing the administration of Rochas Okorocha, in order to correct all the anomalies and absurdities witnessed during his reign of terror, as the Governor of the state.
