A university don, social critic and PDP chieftain in the state, Professor Protus Nathan Uzorma, has called on the Governor of Imo State, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, to obey court ruling as it affects the constitution of the states Council of Traditional Rulers (Ndi Eze Imo) and reinstate His Royal Majesty, Eze (Dr) Cletus Ilomuanya, who is the paramount ruler of the ancient kingdom of Obinugwu, as the Chairman of the Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers.

Prof. Protus Uzorma who stated this in a release made available to newsmen recently, said that Governor Ihedioha who is known for his strict adherence to rule of law, should comply with the judgements of various courts of law which declared the removal of Eze Ilomuanya by the state government as unconstitutional and ordered for his immediate reinstatement.

He said that the major test of compliance and obedience to the rule of law by this administration, is to obey the court judgment and restore the Obinugwu monarch with full benefits, since anything less would amount to toeing the part of anti-democracy.

The release further stated that the delay in obeying the court ruling has raised serious concern among right-thinking and discerning members of society about this administration’s, claim to compliance with the rule of law and total departure to the charade and obscenities represented by Ethelbert Okorocha’s eight years of locust eating of the fabrics of democracy and modernity.

The political leader and Mayor of Imo youths noted that it is on the basis of equity and rule of law that the governor won the 2019 governorship election and therefore should honour same in line with his “my word is my bond” campaign mantra.
