Uche Nwosu, Others Shamed

BOT To Meet This Week, May Review Rochas’ recall Process

The crisis rocking Orluzurumee Youth Assembly (OYA), the apex youth organization in the zone, was last week, finally resolved in favour of one of the warring factions following the confirmation of registration of the body with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).

It would be recalled that the organization for more than a year now, has been enmeshed in crisis following the suspension and ratification of the former Executive by the BOT. As gathered, the suspended Executive rather than hand over property of the organization as provided in the constitution of the Youth Organization, allegedly collaborated with Uche Nwosu and his father-in-law, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, to destabilize the group.

As gathered, the suspended Executive rather than hand over property of the organization as provided in the constitution of the Youth Organization, allegedly collaborated with Uche Nwosu and his father-in-law, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, to destabilize the group.

It was also gathered that within the period of the crisis, Uche Nwosu was always seen throwing support to the dissident group with intention of using them to foil the attempt to recall his father-inlaw.

An official release from CAC, stated that the organization is registered with Corporate Affairs Commission with Comrade Precious Nwadike, Galore Ozokwere, Collins Opuruozor, Gozie Nwagba, Paschal Ihekuna and others as trustee members.

Speaking with the spokes person of the BOT, Kyrian Echerebo, stated that the crisis in Orluzurumee Youth Assembly was fueled by some greedy politicians in Orlu zone, who needed the platform to sing their praises.

He said, “the youths were not the problem except that some of them made themselves willing tools to politicians. However, in the BOT, we will be meeting this weekend to take far-reaching decisions. The trustees may decide to constitute a reconciliatory committee, if need be, and would address the press thereafter in any resolutions adopted In this respect, including reviewing the Okorocha’s recall process”, he stated.

Echerebo further stated that as the pioneer National Secretary of the Organization and now spokesman of the BOT, Orluzurumee Youth Assembly is an umbrella body of the entire Orlu zone and that part of the mandate given to the interim executive led by Engr Christian Okolie, which tenure will expire by December, is to reach out to all the youths of Orlu zone, especially the progressives and ensure that they promote good governance and integration of the youths in our polity.
