The angelic and cerebral Amb Chidnma Uwajumogu, sister to late Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu is said to be receiving massive supports from politicians across party line.
Going by her experience in the politics of Nigeria, she can’t be described as a neophyte considering her political exploits both in Okigwe zone and Nigeria at large. Over time, Mrs. Uwajumogu had been in the habit of making people, most of whom are even in the senate. She is indisputably, not desperate for power.In the past,efforts by some of her fans and loyalists to talk her into contesting elective position were unsuccessful, except recently when she accepted to contest for Okigwe senate.
One of the prominent politicians from Okigwe zone who pleaded anonymity described Mrs. Uwajumogu as an unassuming lady with a passion to serve her people. He reasoned that her candidature for Okigwe Senate is an arbiter that will finally settle perennial political tussles among the power brokers and move the zone forward, saying that at present, the zone is divided into camps and only Chidinma that has the capacity to unite everyone considering the fact that she doesn’t belong to any of the camps.”All she preaches is peace across the 6 local government areas of the zone and if elected, she will achieve this dream of bringing the zone together, once more”, our source revealed.
It was also gathered that following the untimely death of her brother, Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu and the love his colleagues have for him, most of the top APC leaders in Abuja have already thrown their weight behind Chidinma. This as revealed is being championed by late Senator Uwajumogu’s friends, especially those in the National Assembly.
