The Imo State government has disbanded the existing task force on Petroleum and Gas in the state.

The Special Adviser to the Governor and Coordinator, Petroleum and Gas Matters, Hon Goodluck Nnana Opia, stated this in a release he signed and made available to the press.

The release urged the general public, petroleum marketers, fuel stations, security agencies and all stakeholders to take note of the development and warned impostors who parade as oil, gas and petroleum task force to desist forthwith or face the wrath of the law.

It also stated that a new task force that will sanitize the system and address the numerous problems affecting the petroleum sector in the state, will soon be inaugurated and made public.
