One of the foremost Aluminum roofing sheet producing companies in Nigeria, AIFY Global Aluminum Company Ltd Owerri, which was recently nominated by the Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) for a merit award, has just officially opened its Orlu branch office.
The office which was opened recently has since commenced business. It is located opposite Orlu timber market along Owerri Road, Orlu.
Our reporter who visited the business premises of the company revealed that the company, like it’s head office at Egbeada, Owerri is a beehive of activities adding that customers and distributors from Anambra and other neighbouring towns of Orlu troop in to buy all forms of Aluminum products.
Speaking with our reporter, the Chairman/CEO of AIFY Aluminum Company, Engr Ifeanyi Nwagu, stated that the idea of opening the office is to “ensure that those in Orlu and Anambra State don’t struggle too much to access our products in Owerri”. He said that, the roads leading to Owerri are bad and “we at all times consider the plights of our customers while trying to patronize our businesses at the headquarters in Owerri, hence we decided to decentralize”.
Speaking further, the UNN trained Mechanical Engineer assured that all the products will always be in Orlu, like other branches and encouraged residents to take advantage of proximity of the company to procure their aluminum roofing sheets and accessories.
The Orlu gedegwum born industrialist used the opportunity to speak on how his investments in Imo and beyond have created jobs for the teaming unemployed youths over the years.
He called on the government at all levels to make the business environment more conducive through provision of good roads, electricity supply and by putting an end to multiple taxation, which has become the order of the day.
He said he believes in charity begins at home, hence his major reason to invest in Imo and Southern region of Nigeria, even when the business environment may not be that favourable, “but our people must learn to come home and invest. Whatever the challenges are, it can always get better with time”.
