-Congratulates him on installation

The Bureau for Peace and Conflict Resolution, an agency of the Imo State Government saddled with the responsibility to intervene and resolve crisis in the state has conferred a prestigious Peace Ambassador Award on the traditional ruler of Nnanano autonomous community in Nkwerre LGA, HRH Eze Ngozi Anyaehie (Imenyi I of Nnanano autonomous community).

The occasion which took place at the palace of the traditional was also used by the agency to congratulate the Monarch on his installation as the traditional ruler of Nnanano autonomous community in Nkwerre and also for his recent appointment as the Chairman of Peace and Conflict Resolution in the Imo State Council of traditional institution.

In his address at the occasion, the Director General, Bureau for Peace and Conflict Resolution  Engr. Peter Ohagwa (KSC, FCAI) stated that they came to felicitate with the traditional ruler who was recently crowned and as well to congratulate him on his recent appointment as the Chairman of Peace and Conflict Resolution, Imo State Council of Ndieze.

The DG thanked HRH Eze Ngozi Anyaehie for his numerous support to the agency in the past which necessitated the Imo Peace Advocate Corps to make him their patron.

Engr. Ohagwa reiterated that the Corps has laboured to usher in peaceful atmosphere in the state in the past few years through consistent sensitization against youth restiveness, campaign for the abolition of Osu Caste System in the society, drug consumption, farmers/herders clashes, settlement of disputes in different localities in the state on daily basis. 

The Director General called for more collaboration with HRH Eze Ngozi Anyaehie as the Chairman of peace and conflict resolution in Imo State council of Ndieze alongside members of his committee to help resolve all conflicts across the 744 autonomous communities in the state working in synergy with traditional rulers in the various communities. He also disclosed that the agency is making plans to organize a peace summit for all the traditional rulers in the state in order to update them on new techniques and principles of conflict management and resolution.  Engr. Peter Ohagwa on behalf his group, congratulated Eze Ngozi Anyaehie for his successful coronation as the traditional ruler of Nnanano autonomous community and as well for his recent appointment as the Chairman Peace and Conflict Resolution Council of Ndieze Imo State.

In his response, the traditional ruler of Nnanano autonomous community HRH Eze Ngozi Anyaehie ( Imenyi 1 of Nnanano autonomous community expressed profound gratitude to the Imo Peace Advocate Corps for the honour bestowed upon him stressing that they have made his job easier for him and members of his committee. He described Engr. Peter Ohagwa as a reliable person who he has known for many years.

The monarch promised to work with the agency alongside members of his committee in resolving all lingering issues in the state in order to move the state forward. He also informed the Imo Peace Advocate Corps that he is readily available  anytime for the agency in the best interest of the state.

Speaking on his recent appointment as the Chairman Peace and Conflict Resolution Imo State Council of Ndieze, Eze Ngozi Anyaehie promised to use his good office to ensure that there is  lasting peace within the 27 LGAs of the state as well use dialogue to reconcile all Imolites who are aggrieved in one way or the other.
