The Imo North Senatorial District (Okigwe Zone) of Imo State has welcomed a non-profit-making and non-governmental organization called The Catalyst Forum Okigwe (CAFO).

The organization, our correspondent learnt, is committed to the education of youths on leadership values and the empowerment of the needy in the zone, and would have its executive and board members inaugurated on Saturday December 4, 2021.

The event would take place at PEGO Hotel Okigwe, in the Okigwe local government area of the the State.

“We have discovered that most people have no leadership orientation and that is why we have bad followers as well,” a member of the association said.

“It is a problem. CAFO is determined to raise people, especially young ones, who are passionate about societal development and who see leadership as a call to service. This is geared towards a better tomorrow.

“Members of CAFO believe that it is time to take the bull by the horn. We came together to commit our time and resources to touch lives, to rehabilitate our youths who have gone astray with social vices,” he stated.
Another source from the organization told our correspondent that it would engage in the sensitization of the people on how best to engage the government for good results.

It said that CAFO’s interest is the good of Okigwe Zone, and not any political party or group.

The organization’s structure include board members, zonal, local government and ward officers, and members.
