In recognition and appreciation of his uncommon legislative representation in the past three years that he was elected by the people of Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area, the member representing Aboh Mbaise State Constituency and Deputy Chief whip, Imo State house of Assembly, Hon Chief Eddy Obinna (Ochoudo) has practically received what is best described as absolute vote of confidence on him, as the traditional Ruler of Amuzu Nwenkwo Autonomous Community, HRH Eze Charles Nwaiwu in line with the custom and tradition of the Council area decorated the House member with the Chieftaincy title of “EZI ENYI Amuzu Nwenkwo autonomous community.
Conducting the conferment rituals on the performing lawmaker at his country home in Amuzu Aboh Mbaise LGA, the revered monarch declared that the unanimous conferment of the title on Hon Eddy Obinna was necessitated by a barrage of Community development projects engineered by the Lawmaker.
According to the traditional Ruler, it includes the Lawmaker’s multiple empowerment activities since his election as House member.
The Chimezie Ebogu II of Amuzu Nwenkwo Autonomous Community who was full of praises for the Lawmaker for making the people of Aboh Mbaise proud as a golden voice in the House, as well as his expertise in attending to legislative matters, averred that the communities, especially Amuzu Nwenkwo have benefited immensely from the Lawmaker’s uncommon representation, hence, the need to reciprocate such lofty legislative gestures by the Lawmaker.
In his response shortly after receiving the honour, the Aboh Mbaise Lawmaker who received thunderous applause from people of Aboh Mbaise across political party divide; expressed gratitude to the Royal father, the entire people of Amuzu community, and other sister Autonomous communities who saw reasons to endorse the conferment of such a revered title; noting that such gesture by the community will spur him to do more for the area and the LGA at large.
The Nguru Nweke-born workaholic Lawmaker whose knack for legislative strides is second to none, reassured the people of the community and Aboh Mbaise at large of continued effective representation, especially the speedy passage of people-oriented Bills and motions, which he said will have direct impact on the community and Aboh Mbaise people at large.
It will be recalled that Hon Eddy Obinna was recently nominated by the All Progressives Congress (APC) as its candidate for re-election to the State House of Assembly for the 2023 general elections said to be based on his unprecedented legislative representation, even when some of his Colleagues were not lucky to cross the hurdles of Parties’ primaries, an event that proves the weekend decoration by his people as another reward for hard work.
