Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, Ideato, Imo State, has recored another milestone by scoring 100% in the result of the 2022 November/December accreditation exercise, released recently.
The result shows that four programmes offered in the university, earned full accreditation status from the National University Commission NUC.
The four programmes are ‘’Physics, Animal & Environmental Biology, Finance & Banking and Linguistics’’.
Commenting on the development, in a chat with our Reporter, the Vice Chancellor, Prof INS Dozie, confirmed that all mature programmes offered in the university are accredited. He noted that, during the maiden accreditation exercise in November/December 2021, the university scored hundred percent in eleven programmes presented and secured full accreditation in 8 programmes and interim accreditation in 3 programmes.
He also confirmed that the institution has received approval to start JUPEB programme in 2023/2024 academic session.
‘’He commended the staff for their sacrifice and devotion to duty despite the teething challenges associated with early growth and development. He expressed deep appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodimma and Visitor to the University for his enormous support to the institution.
The Vice-Chancellor appealed to applicants seeking quality, uninterrupted education and mentorship and a great experience after graduation to choose KOMU as their institution of first choice or effect change of institution to KOMU.
He assured that the University Management was committed to making KOMU a first-choice destination in a short time due to the many student-friendly policies of the university. Such include rich curricula emphasizing entrepreneurship and leadership education, vocational and skills acquisition driven by innovative technology as well as graduates receiving degree certificates during convocation and transcripts upon demand.
