A former member of the House of Representatives for Orlu, Orsu, Oru East Federal constituency of Imo State and erstwhile Executive Chairman of Orlu Local Government Area, Chief Mayor Eze, has said in very clear terms that he has no plan whatsoever to join the All Progressive Congress APC, now or in the nearest future.

Mayor Eze, who stated this while reacting to speculations in some quarters that he and other prominent loyalists of former Governor Achike Udenwa stated that, no matter how juicy the APC presently is as a ruling party, he will, under no circumstance dump the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, because he is a  loyal party man,.“I will not defect from the PDP. It is on record that when I was in the National Assembly, at a time when most of my colleagues concluded plans to join former Governor Ikedi Ohakim’s camp, I remained a strong loyalist of Governor Achike Udenwa”.

He also explained that the recent meeting that was convened by former Governor Achike Udenwa was not for them to join the APC, but to strategize on how to make the PDP stronger and more prepared for the challenges ahead, despite their perceived misgivings.

Recall, that this is coming barely tens weeks after some PDP stalwarts dumped the party and joined the APC, as most of them who expressed reservation about the emergence of Senator Samuel Ayanwu (Samdaddy) as the governorship candidate are now supporting Uzodinma.

There are also speculations that the immediate past Governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha is clandestinely supporting and working for Uzodinma, as most of his loyalists and foot soldiers have already joined Uzodinma’s camp, allegedly, with his consent.
