–      Describes Publication As False, Misleading

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma on Land Recovery, Hon Amb Paschal Nwamkamma aka Dumdum, has refuted the report published on the front page of an Owerri based newspaper (not Nigeria Watchdog Newspaper), that he was arrested and detained by the police for allegedly collecting a bribe of one million naira.

Dumdum, who disclosed this in a release dated Monday, February, 26, 2024, which he personally signed stated that, “the attention of the Office of the Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodimma, the Executive Governor of Imo State on Land Recovery, Hon.Amb.Paschal Nwakamma aka Dumdum, has been drawn to the misleading and false publication in circulation made by the Publisher of Eastern Lead Express Newspaper in Owerri, on Monday, Feb.26th 2024”.

He expressed disgust over the caption of the report, which he described as false, misleading and mischievous, more so with spurious insinuations that were aimed at tarnishing his image and hard earned reputation.

According to him, “the publication was unjustly imputed on the front page of the tabloid with the caption:”Alleged N1M Bribe: Dumdum Cools Off In Detention

Njamanze Petitions CP, Hotelliers Write Gov, Umuowa Comm. Set To Meet Police, Govt Worried As Petitions Pile Up”.

“Sequel to the above newspaper banner headline, with the caption and sub-captions, the Imo Special Adviser on Land Recovery, Prince Dumdum, has therefore condemned the report which he describes as falsehood and unfounded.

It is obvious that the misleading publicized information was sponsored by disgruntled elements and enemies of the state who do not want the progress of Imo State”.

Dumdum further noted that, “the publication which I saw and read was very laughable and emanated from the pit of hell; We all know that it is the handiwork of detractors who are bent on tarnishing my hard earned reputation, integrity and the good image of the Shared Prosperity Administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma;

“We are very much aware that some unscrupulous individuals (land grabbers) in Imo State are fighting to pull down the office of the SA on Land Recovery by all means but they are a bunch of failures who have failed on arrival”.

“I am poised to deliver on the Recovery Mandate of Governor Uzodimma. No amount of threat or distractions can stop the Recovery Team’s ongoing movement of Recovering all Government Property(ies) in Imo State;

“The culprits must face the wrath of the law in due time”, Dumdum assured”.

Meanwhile, Prince Dumdum, advised Journalists and Publishers in the state to always dwell on investigative journalism and ensure balanced reportage to avoid unpleasant consequences, adding that the publication was sponsored by disgruntled elements who do not want him to succeed in the recovery task which he is passionately committed to executing for the benefit of Imo people.
