-Gets Ngor Okpala Youths’ Endorsement For Elective Position

An entrepreneur and grassroots development advocate in Imo State, Dr. Chijioke Kaduru, has commended Governor Hope Uzodinma for the milestone achievements his administration has recorded in the state, especially in the area of infrastructural development.

Kaduru, who made the commendation during a meeting with youths in Ngor Okpala local government area of Imo State, under the auspices of Onyeaghalanwanneya Youth Movement (OYM), said he was impressed with the governor’s performance, especially in the area of infrastructural development.

He also commended Governor Uzodimma for his administration’s interventions on federal roads in the state, stating that the massive reconstruction of the Owerri – Orlu Road, Owerri – Okigwe Road, Owerri – Umuahia Road, among others was a commendable feat.

Kaduru further hailed Governor Uzodimma for paying special attention to Ngor Okpala in terms of developmental projects, adding that the installation of night landing facilities at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport in Owerri.

He noted that for more than 30 years, the airport built by the collective financial effort of the Imo people had operated without a night landing facility.

He highlighted other key infrastructural developments initiated by Governor Uzodinma, to include the dualization of the road leading to the airport, installation of night landing facilities, expansion of the runway, construction of the Control Flyover, illumination of Onyeaghalanwanneya community were cases in point, and efforts in combating insecurity in the state. 

Dr. Kaduru expressed gratitude on behalf of the Ngor Okpala people, acknowledging the Governor’s commitment to enhancing the community’s standard of living.

He charged the youth leader to consolidate their support for Governor Uzodimma, emphasizing that the people of Ngor Okpala remain solidly behind the Governor’s administration.

Dr. Kaduru reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Governor Uzodimma and assured the gathering of their collective efforts to mobilize votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 for his second-term bid.

He encouraged the youth to embrace peace and dialogue as a means to foster sustainable progress.

Speaking on behalf of the youths,  President of OYM, Comrade Chukwuma Anuforo, commended the governor for remembering the people of Ngor Okpala through development projects, and called for greater political opportunities for indigenes of Ngor Okpala LGA to be involved in the state’s democratic processes.

The youths appealed to Governor Uzodimma to create political opportunities for Ngor Okpala indigenes, and allow them to serve in higher capacities such as the Senate and governorship.

The youths also endorsed Dr. Kaduru Chijioke, to vie for an elective position that would benefit Ngor Okpala and Imo State at large. 

Comrade Anuforo, who also serves as the Liaison Officer to the Governor, expressed appreciation for Dr. Kaduru’s leadership and contributions, and urged him to contest for an elective position that would benefit Ngor Okpala and Imo State at large. 

While endorsing Dr. Kaduru to run for any political office of his choice, the youths acknowledged his commitment to community development and progressive leadership.

They noted that Dr. Kaduru, who hails from Umuowa-oma village in Obiangwu, Ngor Okpala LGA, has been a steadfast advocate for grassroots development. 

“His notable contributions include championing a healthcare development project, investing in revitalising primary schools, offering no-interest loans to small-scale entrepreneurs, and providing educational support to underprivileged students.

“As a visionary public health expert, he has played a critical role in transforming healthcare systems in Nigeria and beyond”, Comrade Anuforo said.
