A worthy Imo breed, and Executive Director of Fidelity Bank, Sir Stanley Amuchie, has donated 8 pieces of Lawnmower Machine, 24 pieces of Bin and 12 Rolls of Extra Thick Disposal Bags to the Management of the state owned Institution.

While handing over the equipment officially to the Management of IMSU shortly after he presented A Keynote Address, on the occasion of Reunion, Renewal And The Power Of Giving, organized by Imo State University Alumni Association (IMSUAA), held at the School Auditorium, last week, Amuchie noted that the items were geared to assist in enhancing environmental cleanliness on the Campus with a view to encouraging teaching and learning therein.

He urged the Institution’s Management to always ensure that the items are used judiciously to evenly activate the Operation Keep IMSU Clean Project, initiated by IMSUAA, a project he described as germane and deserving, saying cleanliness is next to godliness.

Amuchie who lauded IMSUAA for initiating the Operation Keep IMSU Clean Project, as well as their support to the alma mater, said he would continue to advocate for educational and environmental development of IMSU while partnering IMSUAA.

On the Keynote Address, Amuchie called on IMSU Alumni to engage, as well as network more cordially in order to solidly build their alma mater as to improve academic and moral excellence, remarking that “global universities thrive on strong alumni network”.

He referenced that “more than 30,000 college alumni give to Harvard University each year, supporting everything from financial aid to research facilities. Harvard’s annual program demonstrates how consistent small contributions create a massive impact, with 56% of alumni donors giving less than $500, yet collectively transforming the instruction”.

The technocrat added that “when alumni invest in their alma mater, the return multiply exponentially. Harvard’s example. 77% of donations were less than $250, yet collectively create transformative impact.

“Every contribution matters, IMSU made you who you are. Now, you must help make IMSU what it can become”.

“Not through grand gesture, but through sustained, coordinated efforts that compound over time. Let this Homecoming be remembered as the moment everything changed. When alumni stopped being mere graduates and became partners in progress. When giving back shifted from obligation to opportunity. The university that gave you wings, now needs us to help others fly. Your success stories remain incomplete until you help write new chapters for those who follow”, Amuchie tasked the IMSU alumni.

Expressing delight over the effort of the alumni in building the school, the Vice Chancellor of IMSU, Prof. Uchefula Chukwumaeze, who was represented by the DVC, Academics, Prof. Martins Onu, eulogized Stanley Amuchie for donating the sanitation items.

However, IMSUAA, through its President General, Dr. Charles Nwosu, commended Stanley Amuchie for showing immense concern to the alumni and the alma mater, especially via financial contributions, affirming that the items the banker donated would greatly boost the IMSUAA campaign for thorough sanitation and cleanliness in IMSU.
