The leadership of Oluzurumee socio-cultural organization that is reportedly committed to the unity, progress and advancement of Orlu people has said that there will be an investiture ceremony of deserving sons and daughters of Orlu zone as Patrons, Matrons and Departmental Directors of the group by 12 noon on Saturday April 18, 2026 at the Nkwerre Country Club.
The Publicity Secretary of the group Comrade Nnamdi Cos Ukwuoma who stated this in a press release he signed and made available to this newspaper disclosed that the landmark event will offer opportunity for the conferrment of honours on some distinguished personalities who were carefully selected to serve as Patrons and Matrons while others will be inaugurated as Chairmen and Directors of Special Committees.
“The recognition is based on their exemplary conduct, achievements, integrity and outstanding contributions to the society across diverse fields of human endeavour”.
“The ceremony is expected to attract an array of eminent political leaders, traditional rulers, the clergy, professionals and respected sons and daughters of Orlu extraction, reflecting the significance the historic occasion”.
The release further stated that His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodinma will grace the occasion alongside Senator Osita Uzodinma representing Orlu Senatorial Zone and the Deputy Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Hon Amara Iwuanyanwu who will be Guests of honour.
The Chairman, Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers HRH, Eze (Dr) E.C. Okeke of Amaifeke autonomous community (Grand Patron) of Orluzurumee and HRM, Eze Dr Cletus Ilomuanya, Chairman, Imo State Council of Elders will be the Royal Fathers of the Day.

According to the President General of Orluzurumee, Rt. Hon. Ugochukwu Nzekwe, the ceremony represents a defining moment in the organization’s ongoing efforts to institutionalize excellence, honour merit and strengthen the structures necessary for sustainable development in Orlu zone. He noted that the investiture and inauguration are not merely ceremonial, but a strategic step towards mobilizing credible leadership and fostering collective responsibility among stakeholders.
He said, “this event symbolizes our shared commitment to unity, service and the advancement of our people. The calibre of individuals being honoured and inaugurated reflects the values and aspirations of Orluzurumee.”
The leadership emphasized that attendance at the event is strictly on invitation by the Patrons, Matrons, Chairmen of Special Committees and Directors of Directorates, in line with the exclusive and dignified nature of the ceremony.
