The family of the late Dr. Paddy Kemdi Njoku (Omenuko) has announced the funeral arrangements for the renowned statesman and respected community leader, who passed away in May 2026 at the age of 75.
According to the funeral programme, the burial activities will commence on Monday, August 3, 2026, with a Requiem Mass scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at the Catholic Church of Assumption, Asokoro, Abuja.
The following day, Tuesday, August 4, 2026, family members, friends, associates and well-wishers will gather for a Service of Songs and Night of Tributes at 5:00 p.m. at Boardwalk Fun City, Plot 1001 Ibrahim Tahir Lane, Utako, Abuja.
The final funeral rites will take place on Thursday, August 13, 2026, with a Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, Okwuakuwa, Uvuru, Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, where the late elder statesman will be laid to rest.
Dr. Paddy Kemdi Njoku, popularly known by the title “Omenuko,” was born in August 1950 and was widely admired for his contributions to society and his distinguished service. He held several honours, including KSS, KSJI, and F.ICMC.
His passing has continued to attract tributes from family members, friends, associates and admirers, who have described him as a man of integrity, faith and exceptional leadership whose legacy will endure for generations.
The funeral poster bears the inscription, “Forever in Our Hearts,” reflecting the deep sense of loss felt by those whose lives he touched.
