Former member of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Asiwaju Jerry Alagbaoso, has been installed as the traditional ruler of Ama Na Ogu Autonomous Community in Ihitte-Nansa Clan, Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State.

Alagbaoso, a retired Customs Comptroller and three-term member of the House of Representatives, was also a Federal Commissioner with the Federal Character Commission.

In a congratulatory message, by Chief Greg Obioha, the former lawmaker was described as an illustrious son of Orsu and a distinguished Nigerian whose career in public service and lawmaking had prepared him for the traditional leadership role.

The message said his emergence as the traditional ruler of Ama Na Ogu Autonomous Community was a worthy recognition of his experience, leadership qualities and contributions to public service.

“His choice to lead his people at this auspicious moment is highly commendable,” the message stated, while expressing confidence that his reign would bring peace, unity and prosperity to Ama Na Ogu Autonomous Community.

The well-wishers prayed for the long life and peaceful reign of the new traditional ruler, wishing him wisdom, good health and divine guidance as he assumes the responsibilities of the throne.

They also prayed that his reign would usher in greater development, harmony and progress for the people of Ama Na Ogu and the wider Ihitte-Nansa community.

Congratulations were extended to Asiwaju Jerry Alagbaoso, Ogu 1 of Ama Na Ogu, on his installation as the traditional ruler of the community.
